Ctrl Z

There is no Ctrl Z in life (remember where you heard it first!)
That’s those magic little buttons on your keyboard that can undo,

Ctrl Shift Z can redo and so many more options. But you can’t do that with life; you can’t just undo something that went wrong and redo with a preferential option.
No! what you get is what you get – one chance only.

I am from the age when I did my Pitman's typing exam on an antiquated typewriter. Magnificent work of art - looked like and felt like a cash register machine. Remember Tipex; what a wonderful thing. When I graduated to a word processor with a touch keyboard, it was like jumping on a trampoline for a while, then walking on solid ground. The shock was quite profound.

But imagine if life had a wee keyboard - click, select, delete ... Noone would ever know! And what about that 'life saving' spell check or those little red lines beneath suspect words just as a caution along the way (could that be one's conscience?). And if you really wanted to make a statement SAY IT IN BOLD!!! add some colour - or go flamboyant! You choose, it's your life.

Ah Tipex. Do you remember the smell of it!

I seem to have had so many 'chapters' in my life that I sometimes feel I have been doing the key board trick. But, it's all there on the hard drive somewhere...
